Micro-Enterprise Program
Through a unique
collaboration with the Community First Fund organization and a grant from the
state Weed and Seed initiative, the Hispanic Center is coordinating a small
business development and micro-lending program with the aim of increasing
success and access to capital for business ventures in the inner city, with a
special emphasis on the Latino community. Our bilingual/bicultural Business
Counselor provides support and customized training and technical assistance to
existing and aspiring entrepreneurs and connects them with other available
resources. Over $130,000 in loan funding has already been distributed.
