Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors - is a nationally recognized, evidence-based parenting education program designed to support parents and caregivers of children ages 0-8. The program uses an engaging, interactive curriculum that blends child development knowledge, parent leadership, and advocacy tools to help families prepare their children for school success and lifelong learning.

​Program Goals:

  • Build Strong Parenting Skills- Support children’s learning, growth, and well-being. 

  • Prepare for school success- Provide families with tools and resources to build literacy, numeracy, and a love of learning from birth.

  • Promote Parent Leadership- Empower parents to be active partners in their child’s education. 

  • Enhance Family Well Being- Share tools for health, finances and community support.

  • Celebrate Culture and Identity- Embrace the unique strengths, traditions, and languages that families bring, recognizing diversity as a vital part of a child’s development.

This 10-session program emphasizes peer learning, hands-on activities, and actionable steps—opening doors to brighter futures for children and their families.
