Centro Hispano is proud to honor a community champion, Nancy Campbell. Nancy is the President and Owner of the Compleat Baldwin Brass Center and the Baldwin Kitchen and Bath Design Center in West Reading, PA. Following the death of her husband in 2001, Nancy, alongside her daughter Becky, stepped into the hardware business. Together, they relocated the store to its current location and expanded the showroom to ten times its original size. Together with Nancy’s son-in-law Jason, they also developed a robust online retail presence, enabling sales across the United States and internationally. The Compleat Baldwin Brass Center ranks among the top sales representatives in the country.

Prior to her entrepreneurial career, Nancy served as Department Chair of the Family and Consumer Science Department at Reading High School. She successfully developed and implemented the district’s first Vocational Child Care Program and subsequently established the Child Development Center, a community program serving more than 60 children. A strong advocate for community involvement, Nancy established a chapter of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) at Reading High School, earning recognition at both the state and national levels for innovative volunteer programs for 13 consecutive years (1988–2001).   Nancy was honored as a Master Advisor and became the first teacher in Pennsylvania to receive the Advisor Mentor Award. These initiatives provided the foundation for her interest in business, accounting, and marketing.

Nancy continues her commitment to community service through long-term involvement with local organizations. She served on the Board of the Reading Public Library for 10 years, including four years as President and six years as Chair of the Advancement Committee. She has been an active member of Peace Trust (Safe Berks) for 19 years and supports Centro Hispano as well as many valued partners including Safe Berks, Reading Public Library, Olivet Boys & Girls Club, the Reading Education Foundation, and Albright College.  She currently serves as secretary for the West Reading Community Foundation

Nancy’s support of Centro Hispano is based in her belief that diverse ideas are the source of innovative solutions.  In response to being named the recipient of this award, Nancy emphasized that active participation in the community is essential, regardless of individual perspectives and collaboration with friends, neighbors and colleagues is both a privilege and a responsibility.  Centro Hispano is proud to honor a PA native who came to Reading to study at Albright College and chose to stay and serve with  passion, energy, perseverance, and humility.
